A Letter From Blood assurance’s Chief Medical Officer

Thank you for your donation and making it possible for Blood Assurance to complete our mission of saving lives. Your contribution makes a difference every time you donate.

You may have noticed a few different emails coming through our system lately. We apologize if we cluttered your inbox or you feel we are emailing you for reasons outside of our purpose and goals. It was not our intent to make you feel that way.

As a community health organization, we are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of everyone. To that end, we have been piloting opportunities to bring members of our community in contact with partner organizations committed to clinical research that helps patients in need. These teams and scientists are looking for participants of all kinds to better understand and treat disease. Study participants are generally compensated for their time and effort.

We want you to know that Blood Assurance will not work with an organization that does not have an Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval, a review process that ensures studies are conducted safely and ethically.

Blood Assurance is going to start utilizing a registry for research that is separate from our blood donor contact list. The registry is called BioLinked. This is how we will communicate with you for research opportunities and maintain integrity of your privacy.

If you are interested in participating in compensated research studies, please click the button under this letter. Be sure to select Blood Assurance under the Select Referring Organization dropdown. The background information is very important so that we know for what research studies you may qualify and be best suited. If you would like specifics of the program, contact this number 423-752-5918 and one of our trained staff will do their best to reach out to you during regular business hours in a reasonable time frame to answer your questions.

Thank you so much for being a blood donor and we hope to show you the benefit and value of contributing to research and clinical trials moving forward.

Warmest Regards,

Dr. Elizabeth Culler
